Information security at the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce (HRCC)
The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate Helsingin Kamari Oy (jointly “Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce”) are committed to protecting the privacy of the users of their services and adhering to the data privacy and other laws and solid information security and data protection practices. Our online services may contain links to other companies’ pages or services, which have their own data privacy practices, separate from those of the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce.
We aim to learn what our members and other users need and create services that are of interest to them. The data we process can be divided into:
- Data provided by the user;
- Data collected from public sources, such as a trade register, or other generally available sources;
- Data collected when services are used;
- Data derived through analytics.
We use the data we collect for carrying out tasks intended in the Chamber of Commerce Act (1 November 2002/878), to produce easy-to-use, safe and personalised services, to improve customer experience and to develop more targeted marketing and efficient customer service.
This privacy statement describes the practices related to the collecting and processing of personal data by the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce. “Personal data” means data which can be connected to a certain person.
